True North Stoves – Wood & Pellet Stoves USA

This is the official website of True North Stoves, a brand that builds and sell wood stoves as well as pellet stoves in Northern America. It doesn't include long posts about why using a wood stove, but it introduces its stove models to the public. There are 7 models on the footer, includind a chimney insert. The front page show a EPA 2020 certification, which is a green label.

Which page of this site do you prefer? And why?

My prefer page is the one that describes the tn10 wood stove. I particularly like the way the page is done with a CTA to find a showroom, and Technical data available with a slight scroll. All product pages are done the same, they offered the possibility to download the brochure and the manual. I find the idea pretty interesting, rather than long explanations to the readers.

What feature, section, or aspect of the site convinced you the most?

I gave it a try and I download the brochure for the tn-10 and tn-20 wood stove. It's pretty straightforward with all important informations right at the first View. The potential buyers can read the btu, the efficiency as well as the carbon dioxide emissions. And of course, what is very practical for the homeowners : max log size and max burn time. If I was a buyer, that would be the informations I would look for.

If you could suggest one improvement or evolution for this site, what would it be?

First mistake : the downloading of brochure doesn't open in a new window and there are no commands to come back to the main site from the PDF. Another thing that has to be improved is definitely the footer, as there is no way to identify the company's Spirits, the "about us page" is missing. The "find a showroom" CTA brings the reader to a map that has to be improved.
